At the Heart of It
We were asked to provide coaching for 2 department heads working in a hierarchical but highly matrixed environment. Both were ambitious for promotion and needed coaching support to move forward with their leadership careers and navigate their working environment.
The Call to Adventure
We provided a series of coaching sessions for each manager. Whilst client-led in terms of goals and areas of focus, the coaching relationship allowed for learning from frameworks, models and tools to help with challenges the client described. These were then ‘workshopped’ with the client with their specific challenge in mind.
Coming to Life
Both coaching clients have been promoted to take on more senior and complex roles. They have received positive feedback about their leadership and management capability and have grown in confidence in managing their teams and in influencing at a more strategic level.
